What you need to know

If you wish to take part you will first need to accept the conditions of participation and register to be included and then please arrive at The Royal Courts of Justice, London between 2:00PM and 2:15PM.

Route

Here’s the whole route:

  1. The Royal Courts of Justice; on The Strand at 2:15PM; then on to
  2. HM Treasury, at 1 Horse Guards Road; then on to
  3. HM Revenue and Customs at 100 Parliament Street; then on to
  4. 10 Downing Street; then on to
  5. New Scotland Yard, on Victoria Embankment; then on to
  6. Parliament at the Palace of Westminster (Cromwell Green end); ending at about 5:00PM

This is what the route looks like on Google Maps:

The total walking distance is about 2.4 miles, on mostly flat ground. We will be walking on pavements, not on the road and we will be making an effort to not cause any nuisance to the public.

Note that whilst the route map above suggests it will take 55 minutes, it will take longer than that because of the stops and speeches along the way; an amplifier will help ensure the speeches can be heard.

  • At The Royal Courts of Justice there will be reminders about a range of health and safety matters, and the protocols for inclusion, before short speeches about the important role the justice system needs to play in protecting innocent people from harm, helping them to get redress and compensation if they do become a victim, and ensuring miscarriages of justice as per the many innocent LIBOR rigging scapegoats such as Tom Hayes and Carlo Palombo, are fully overturned.
  • At HM Treasury, at 1 Horse Guards Parade there will be short speeches about the important role the Treasury needs to play in ensuring the Financial Conduct Authority becomes fit for purpose through desperately-needed reforms, or that it is abolished and replaced with a new regulator that is less conflicted and more focused on consumer protection, such as the USA’s Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
  • At HM Revenue and Customs at 100 Parliament Street there will be short speeches about the urgent need for HMRC to change the way it treats the innocent victims of financial crime. There will also be a 2 minute silence and the laying of wreaths to commemorate those that have taken their lives as a consequence of the scandals that this march is all about
  • At Downing Street there will be short speeches about the important role the next Prime Minister must play in showing leadership that is rooted in ethics and integrity; and to use his/her powers to pave the way for changes that are so desperately needed
  • At New Scotland Yard on Victoria Embankment there will be short speeches about the urgent need to increase the amount of investigation into fraud and financial crimes, and to ‘hunt down’ those known to be prolific offenders; and to share intelligence more systematically between regulators, enforcement agencies and other key stakeholders
  • At the Houses of Parliament (Cromwell Green end) there will be short speeches about the important role that Parliament needs to play in helping to achieve better outcomes for ordinary people when they interact with the financial industry, and how the House of Commons and the House of Lords need to provide sufficient scrutiny, properly holding the Financial Conduct Authority, the Financial Ombudsman Service, HMRC, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the Financial Services Consumer Panel, the Treasury Select Committee and all similar elements of ‘the hierarchy of oversight’ to account

Also, please note that at The Royal Courts of Justice, HM Treasury, at 1 Horse Guards Parade, HM Revenue and Customs at 100 Parliament Street, Downing Street, New Scotland Yard on Victoria Embankment and Parliament (Cromwell Green) end a petition calling for reforms will be handed in; each petition nuanced according to the location.

So don’t delay, please apply to participate today!
